What's New
Hello All!
The fotostuf website is going to be modified in the next few months... just because.
I've never really been happy with the photo layout and I'm looking at ways to redesign the images
Not sure what it's going to look like yet, and I can't wait to see it!

ABOUT fotostuf
fotostuf began long ago before the internet was the internet we know today.
It was a place to see black and white darkroom images scanned for the web;
a place to discuss photography, to learn about equipment, and wonder what the future would hold.

Then came the digital revolution, and things changed.
Film and paper were discontinued, darkrooms and chemistry were harder to find,
and yet digital imaging was unsharp, editing software was clumsy, and storage was a nightmare.
fotostuf decided it was time to move on and the site was no more.

But technology doesn't sit idle, and things changed again.
Digital files increased in size and sharpness, editing software became intuitive and flexible,
and memory caught up with the needs of photographers.
It was time to return and this site is the result.

The site is not here to make money.
It is not here to get "likes" on social media.
It is not here to teach technique or tell you what you must do to be successful.
You can do all those things on your own... you don't need me for that.
fotostuf is here to spark discussion, to expand ideas, to visually stimulate.
If even one person goes away for the better, it was worth it.

EQUIPMENT
I've used many different cameras through the years.
Back in the film days I started off with a Nikon FM then moved to a Hasselblad CF.
For a long time I settled for a point and shoot Sony, but now have found
my favorite digital... the Fujifilm X-T1.
It reminds me of my old school cameras, with f/stops on the lens and real shutter and ISO dials.
With that and Lightroom as my new darkroom, I feel photography has truly returned.
